Laurel Weber

Born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Laurel calls Upstate South Carolina home: a place where ghost stories are practically family heirlooms, old mountain folklore gets passed down like recipes, and "don't whistle in the woods at night" is accepted as perfectly reasonable advice.

As co-host of Doom & Daisies, Laurel has an incurable case of curiosity and has no desire to be cured. She firmly believes every conspiracy deserves a fair hearing (even if it's just for fun), every abandoned building has a story, and every "there's no way that's true" deserves at least a three hour internet deep dive.

By day, she works in pediatric healthcare, helping families through the everyday chaos of doctors' offices. By night? She's usually reading about unsolved murders, Appalachian folklore, cryptids, haunted places, witchcraft, paranormal encounters, forgotten history, or the latest internet mystery that has collectively broken everyone's brain.

Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions and legends of Southern Appalachia, sparked a lifelong fascination with folklore, old superstitions, and the ways people have explained the unexplainable for generations. Whether she's talking about mountain haints, cursed objects, strange disappearances, or the history behind modern witchcraft, Laurel loves exploring the blurry line between fact, fiction, and suspicion.

She's also a firm believer that laughter belongs in even the darkest conversations. If you've listened to the show, you already know she can go from discussing a decades old cold case to laughing over a ridiculous news headline without missing a beat.

She’s a walking soundtrack of nostalgia; Death Cab for Cutie on repeat, a die hard Swiftie (for over 20 years), and someone who can quote Serendipity and Practical Magic like sacred texts. That’s just who she is: a little romantic, a little eerie, and fully committed to the vibe.

When she's not behind the mic, you'll probably find her spending time with her husband, her son, and her beloved chocolate lab, Shady. She's powered almost entirely by caffeine, sarcasm, Taylor Swift, spooky documentaries, and approximately 47 browser tabs she swears she's going to read later (newsflash: she never does).

Together with her best friend and co-host, Valerie, Laurel created Doom & Daisies because the world is weird, people are fascinating, and sometimes the best therapy is sitting around with your favorite person asking, "Okay... but what if?"

She will never promise to solve the mystery, but she will convince you to question everything.
